Holograms - Microsoft Hololens

An Immersive EducationSummit is an event that takes place every year, in places around the world.  This year it is taking place in Paris.  Immersion 2015 is a conference event that focuses on many subjects and speakers within the organization.  These include Microsoft, Walt Disney Animation Studios, and Google.  Topics discussed throughout this conference is the way technology is being used and within the daily lives of many different people.  It includes 3D printing, holograms, personal robotics, and game based learning.  For more information on Immersion 2015 in Paris visit :

Microsoft HoloLens is an innovative way of learning, playing and working through a lens of 3D goggles.  Using the 3D goggles people can change things and look at them a different way.  I feel like this is a cool thing to experience and use.  People can also use this in a fun way to learn and by adding it to an Immersive learning environment.

The 3D Immersive environment is helpful for the user of the goggles by letting them also see the real world around them.  The world around them is enhanced by the representations of what he and or she sees.  For example, if a person is playing with a rubix cube, the object is put in front of them, but only he or she can see the object wearing the glasses.  It might not be there, but he or she can feel the object and play with it.

Microsoft HoloLens is a technology that is very interactive rather than just a visual.  This is what it would look like if you were actually wearing the product, in this case the goggles.  All of your favorite applications, web pages and or TV and movies would appear out of the goggles floating in front of you.  You will then be able to navigate through them as you would on a laptop, but instead you would be able to use it with the swipe of your finger.  HoloLens can do this by projecting an image each second by the image floating in front of you.

Microsoft HoloLens is the future.  It can also be a game changer in the way students learn.  Students who are visual and interactive learners would be able to use HoloLens because the images will be right in front of you, and you will be able to focus on the task at hand.  Homework or even classwork can be used through a visual aid and can be very helpful.  It is awesome when the visual is interactive like HoloLens, i think this will help students understand topics discussed in class much better.  The interaction could help display and have the child understand the process instead of complicating and confusing he or she more.  I think that HoloLens is the future and it will be helpful to many people whether they are in school learning or in the outside world working for a living.

Here is a video that can help describe what The Microsoft HoloLens can really do :)
