Gimp Tools

In these pictures i used the rectangle and circle to put over the picture.  This is Part A - Selection Tools.

On this image i used the drawing item at the top, next to the oval shape.  I made a heart on the picture and then saved it.  This picture is also part of Part A - Selection Tools.

Part B - Strokes:  I used the icon next to the circle, then right clicked on the image i just drew, pressed edit and then pressed stroke selection, and then pressed stoke.  So then i changed the color to red.

Part C - Paste Into:  In this part i chose a picture of my puppy, copied it then went to GIMP, added the circle icon, then right clicked, and pressed paste into.  Then saved as a .png

Part D - Transparency(Opacity):  In this picture i took a photo and made it transparent.  By doing this i had one picture open, and then paste the other one on top of it.  Then i went over to the side menu and pressed opacity and set it to 57.6, and so here is my image ! Also exported it as a .png, so this picture shows me in the back, and my puppy in the front.

Part E - Text:  In this part i wrote my first, middle and last name in 3 different text boxes.  Changed the color and opacity for each one of them.  Then placed both my first and middle name over my last name.

The last image is my picture saved as a .png

Part F - Scaling:  In this part i uploaded my midterm #8, the image i already had edited in GIMP.  Then went to the top of the screen, clicked image, then pressed scale image.  Adjusted the height and width, so divided those two numbers by 2, and then pressed re-scale.  My image became smaller.

So this was my picture re-scaled to 200 by 348

Class 6: Assignment 8

The games were actually kind of fun i guess. Everything I did can be found at http://JiED.org andhttps://playcanvas.com!!
Here's what I did.

The first thing I clicked from http://JiED.org was the rubik's cube, which brought me to a functioning virtual rubik's cube. I also am terrible at rubik's cubes, so as we can see I messed it up pretty badly within a couple moves.

Next were the games on https://playcanvas.com which were kinda cool, but frustrating at the same time. First was this little tank game where I had to drive around using the arrow keys and kill enemies by shooting them. (click).

After i played a game with snowman, and you had to shoot at them and try not to get hit.

The last game i played was a puzzle game and the shapes would move down and you had to pair them with each colored shape.  It was complex and confusing though so i was semi confused on what you actually had to do.

Class 6: Assignment 6

I registered to the exquisite forest, but when i wanted to make a new tree but the website is no longer accepting new animations on any parts of the forest.
This is me watching the concept of the exquisite forest.

Class 6: Assignment 4

Here is a screenshot of my progress of adding everyone's blog to my sidebar on my blogger, followed by a screenshot of my actual finished sidebar.

Midterm #8

Here is my selfie.  I used the smudge tool to lighten up the bottom of my eyes, careful not to smudge too much.  Then i used the blur tool on the corners of my face towards my jaw and forehead.  I didn't want to blur the picture too much because it would end up looking un natural.

Here is my Original image.

Now i started photoshopping it.

Here is my edited photo, pay attention to under my eyes i edited the most and around my jaw and forehead.

This is me using GIMP tools to edit a photo of myself and make it look better. It is a midterm (or final, if it's a final) exercise from the Immersive Education course that I am taking at Boston College. The course is called Discovering Computer Graphics. For details, visit the immersive BC portal at http://ImmersiveEducation.org/@/bc

Midterm #7

Here are my process screenshots of Midterm #7, where i got a photo of my future gorgeous husband, Jesse Lee Soffer & added all the the things noted in the Midterm Exercise.

Unfortunately had to cover his handsome green eyes.

Lastly is my finished product, the copy i have saved was the .jpg , i was able to save the .psd one but it would not let me upload it to blogger.

I used the clone feature to put my face all over the picture.

Class 5 : Assingment 10

These are my screenshots from my Identity Mapping Project.  My survey took me about 10 min to complete because i don't really use email as much as maybe other people do.  I only use it to check emails from teachers on my BC email and promotions and coupons to stores on my yahoo email. I think that the survey went particularly well, i answered to the best of my ability.
